Mail Time with Lo...the ULTIMATE SWAP

Photobucket

Now as ya'll know I am a huge fan of swaps. I get alot of joy out of shopping in general, but even more so when it is for friends. Because it gives you the freedom to pick up whatever goodies you think she/he might like. I tend to get my friends items that I don't think they would get themselves, because they might think the color wouldn't look right on them. Or they might not even notice it, because they are on a one track mind (ie neutral lovers stick to what's safe, easy every day...when sometimes they need some color).

Anyways, Lilian, a wonderful YouTube subbie and friend approached me to do another swap...as if you pay attention to earlier this year, we did our first swap to each other. And I tell you what, our first swap was HUGE!!! Leave it to her to make our next swap UNFORGETABLE!!!!

While she requested particular German brand products, I really only asked for one stateside available brand..Milani. No lies, though she totally went hog wild and then some!!!!

Lip Products

To think that I would actually need to buy anymore lip glosses??? No way JOSE!!!! The ones in particular that I was excited about...Miliani Lip Flash (it's been on my lust list for months now). Milani Glitzy Gloss..boy does it smell and taste so yummy!! Revlon Colorburst gloss...it's my first and only...just wanted to try out the formula!!! Now, I'm not saying I don't like the other lip products...these are merely the ones that stand out more!!!

Now I'm a blush whore!!!! I mean I have tons of eye products and tons of lip products, but my blushes are slowly but surely working to become a drawer of mayhem itself! Miliani, Hard Candy....need I say more???!!!

Again Liliam wowed me with two higher end brand single shadows, Urban Decay and Nars (Nars..again...lol girl I swear....). But of course the other loveliness of Milani baked shadows and mini palettes.
I am quite interested in testing out the Mark palette she sent my way (which was in her own personal collection), however it has found a new and grateful home!!!

Yummy goodness and a cute accessory!!
Need I say more??!!

My ULTIMATE SURPRISE
Photobucket
Yes, the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Limited Edition Palette!!!!

If you watch my video, you see my live reaction when this puppy is unwrapped!!! I could not and still CAN NOT believe Lilian sent this to me! I feel like it is too much, that I am not really worthy of receiving something so wanted within the beauty community. And when I tweeted how wonderful Lilian was and how her surprise has made my day/week/month. All she could say was..."I'm glad you like it!" and when I told her that I felt like my box wasn't enough. That I knew there was stuff in my collection that needed a new home "You really don't have to!.. I didn't do it so you can send me more stuff!.. I did it with all my heart!"

Again this just proves how someone, so far away...that I have never officially met in person has touched my life and become more than just a fellow YouTuber..but a wonderful, thoughtful and amazing friend!

Thank you so much Lilian for all your support, love and being so incredibly giving!

Sometimes it's the little things with the people who make you laugh

Totally random blog entry, as I sit here with dinner ready waiting on the mister to get home from a long day at work (yup, they are working 12 hr shifts the rest of the week...I hope he at least gets Sunday off this weekend).

I had an (overall total time) of an hour conversation with a friend via HeyTell today (app on the Iphone/Itouch/Ipad...a push to talk application...so it's a fun version of Walkie Talkies). Anyways I chatted with my friend who is currently "deployed" (as he is at a different base here in Europe), and it got me thinking about my friendships this past year so far (2011) has brought me.

There have been a loss or two of friendships with the beginning of the year, but there have been more discoveries of amazing people who have touched my heart.

It has been tough to actually make real friends as an adult, especially being within the military lifestyle (especially at this small base that I have been at). If you aren't in the military lifestyle, what I mean by this is...since home is where whatever branch of the military one's family is in sends them. You could be living in the states for say 5 years and BAM get paperwork you are moving to Japan for 3 years. Say good bye to all your friends, to go elsewhere and start all over again. Of course, there is the internet for emails...perhaps you will send a Christmas card..make the occasional phone call. But after awhile of moving, it's hard to keep track of people (since they tend to move as well). What could start off as a great friendship, could, if not worked at constantly, end in a distance memory.

Thus my current wonderful friendships have left me wondering what am I going to do without this person or that person when it's time to leave Germany. Thinking about saying goodbye sucks, I think it will be even tougher when it actually comes time to do it!!!

I like my friends...no...I lie. I love them...each and everyone of them. Whether it's the simple act of going over and hanging out bsing on the front porch smoking a cigarette. To lounging on the couch watching a movie, being bums together. I cherish those tiny small moments of friendship and connection.

I have been a huge camera whore this year, I take my camera everywhere I go nowadays. Especially if I know a bunch of us are going to hang out, cause you really never know what might happen. And having a photograph as proof that it this happened, or just horrible candid drunken pictures to laugh at later on (after they are posted on facebook).

**What most of my friends don't know is I have all the pictures from this year that are saved on my computer, as my screensaver. So that if I sit at my computer long enough not messing with it...I am greeted with pictures of good times. I'm not necessarily always in the pictures, but rather the photographer about half the time. And I like them as my screen saver cause I can look at them and laugh (not a ha ha laugh...but a he he laugh).

Like I said before, it's hard trying to find friends as an adult. But I feel I have found some really good ones who I will always love and have a place in my heart for....even when we are far away.

And that's all I have to say about that. e

I have some AWESOME Friends!

I have been very blessed in my life...with a good and loving husband. A supportive and caring family and some awesome and amazing friends...both who I have met in person from school, work and travel...to those who have come into my life via YouTube.

I know, I know...YouTube friends? How in the world is it possible to become friends with someone who you don't even know, who could live thousands of miles away from you...that you might never cross paths with?? Do you consider them friends? Or just random people? And if they aren't friends, then do you go out of your way for them? Or do you go out of your way for them because they are you friends...just friends you have yet the pleasure to meet and enjoy the other's company?

Whatever your personal thoughts are on these questions..I honestly would love to know...for all you readers of my blog! LoL...though I'm pretty sure there is only a handful! Which btw...I appreciate each and every one of you. Without someone...even if it's one person sitting there and taking the time to read my ramblings...it proves. One that I'm not crazy for taking the time to sit and type out my thoughts...and two...that someone cares!

Anyways, I have had a make up issue...Yes...it would be me to have a make up issue!!! LOL For the past month and half, I had come across the BIGGEST EXCHANGE issue!!!

My current (and quite small) military base exchange was not receiving any new items of a product that I was desperately seeking...the Wet N Wild Cream Eyeliner in black. Now, I did purchase one about 3 months ago when Joe and myself made a run down to the other military base in Ramstein (ie 1 hr 15 minutes south from us...one way). Yet I didn't think too much of it in only purchasing one of the item...I figured. Since the exchange at my base carried that brand...eventually they would get a restock of items in....needless to say they NEVER DID!

At one point we received some in the Eggplant color (which is purple) but never any black..which of course frustrated the heck out of me. I don't how its possible to get one product but not the other..unless there are other make up junkies who know the marvelousness of the Wet N Wild Cream Liner and bought them all up!

But I digress, so for my birthday Joe and I went down to Ramstein to check things out and see if there were any additional birthday presents I might happen to fall upon...which there were none. It also happen to be that I was having some issues with my Holy Grail Liquid Eyeliner from NYC..that I figured while we were down there. I would look for the Wet N Wild and then the NYC...figure it didnt hurt to have a back up or two. Just because my base doesn't carry my NYC liner...the only way I can get it is have someone from the states pick it up for me...as shopping on ebay is no use.

**Total side note thing. I prefer shopping on Ebay verses Amazon...I honestly dont know why. I guess I like getting the star ratings on Ebay...its like getting a sticker when you were in school for a job well done from the teacher. I suppose I could always check Amazon next time I'm stuck in a bind! **

Lo and behold, No Wet N Wild or NYC on my birthday run. And as timing would have it..Joe and I would find ourselves again down at Ramstein...trying to take advantage of Thanksgiving sales. Sadly again no go on the make up products that I was seeking, though SCORE for early Christmas presents!
**Will be blogging soon about these awesome goodies very soon**

Now at this point I was not only frustrated with the Exchanges for not having either of the items I need, I'm frustrated with myself for not having thought about what I needed...when they did have it. I try not to buy alot of items at a time, just because I am afraid I won't use it up before it starts to go bad. But after doing alot of researching on various websites in regards to shelf life of make up (as long as it is sealed)...I realize I could stock up and be okay.

So I complained a little bit about my situation on a facebook make up junkies page..which happens to have alot of YouTube gurus on it. Check on Make Up Madness and All about Makeup you will find make up lover, collectors and tons of gals that make videos on YouTube.

Anyways...to make this long winded blog post short..the amazing and wonderful Charlene AKA All4one1fourall totally hooked me up! Not only has she been an amazing because she has shared so many awesome goodies with me (ie her Lime Crime and MAC) but she went out of her way to make sure she could help me out.

She didn't have to do it...but she has a huge heart and as she put it...military wives have to stick together! And a few weeks ago, I received my package that had two lovely NYX Liquid Eyeliners in black..which I'm currently using one! and two Wet N Wild Cream Liners in Black..which one will be mine and the other is a back up for my make up kit!

*Shoutout to Charlene...thank you so much for being an amazing and caring person to go through all the trouble and many stores to get me the eyeliners! I know you didnt have to..and it was alot of running around on your end. BUT I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH!!!**

I am a very lucky girl to have such amazing friend...who I have never met officially!!!
