FOTD: Glamour Doll Eyes 80's Child

I actually did this look a few weekends ago (ie Halloween weekend) but with this week of my mini vacation. I got pretty lazy when it came to blogging, so I figured it was time to get cracking down on some of these Glamour Doll Eyes looks I have been hording! he he

I received my 80's Child Collection the week prior to Halloween and decided that it was time to play with the colors. Now, if you haven't checked out the 80's Child Collection from Glamour Doll Eyes, you are missing out on some amazing SHIMMER FILLED COLORED FUN! And considering that I was a child of the 80's (and these shadows are based off of some of mt favorite shows as a child. I had to get them for my birthday.)

I felt pretty feminine that day, I actually decided on my shirt and accessories before I did my make up (normally it's vice versa). So keeping the pink in mind and wanting to use the 80's Child Collection shadows I came up with this kinda fun and super easy look.

Not really certain what to call it, I asked Joe and he was at a lost! that NEVER happens! he he

Going to post some pictures of the Eyes in particular, since it's all about the eyes in this look anyways! I know with such a bright liner, one would opt for false lashes. However I think this can be done as an everyday fun look!

Natural Light

I believe that blue shadows look really great with Brown eyes, it just seems to draw attention.

I didn't want to over do wing in this eye, just because then it would REQUIRE lashes in my opinion. So I kept it small (compared to how I normally do colored liner looks).

One thing I love about Glamour Doll Eyes shadows is the fact that they make such great eyeliners! Vanity is beautiful blue with silver sparkles, and when its applied wet it takes a neon blue that just really POPS!

With FLASH

Using Shimmer as a highlight and eye brightener in the inner tear duct (in my opinon) finishes off this look. It adds just enough shimmer and glitter to the eye, plus with its multi colored sparkles (yellow, red, blue, purple, pink) it was just perfect!

**For the rest of the face I paired it off with some light pink cheeks using my NYX Blush in Pinky and for lips I decided on a recent newest go to, NYX Lip Liner in Fuchsia topped off with Glamour Gloss in Scene Queen**

Overall, I really liked the combination of these shadows together! I hope to give myself some more time sometime soon and come up with another fun 80's Child FOTD!!

FOTD: Glamour Doll Eyes Smokey Rainbow

Considering it’s a Monday, I normally don’t take a lot of time to my make up especially if I have to work.

However, this Monday is a bit different because:

1. It’s the last day I have to work of my picking up shifts from a co-worker ( I don’t work again until Friday afternoon)

2. The weather is cold, yet the sun keeps fighting with the clouds (and the sun being out always puts me in a good mood)

3. I wanted to play with some Glamour Doll Eyes colors I hadn’t used before (which isn’t completely true, I have used one of the colors).

4. I got up with and out of bed with enough time to actually really play in my makeup!

Thus I came up with this fun, bright multi colored shimmery look.

I wanted to try a white base under the shadows to make the colors pop just a bit more, and I figured I could kill two birds with one stone (trying out a product that I plan on reviewing later). So I prepped the eye using

MAC Paint Pot in Soft Orche

Revlon Cream Shadow (white color) from the Electric Pop

This layering I hope will not only remain creaseless, but give the shadows the pop they justly need.

Since the eyes are bright but semi smokey, I paired some bright lips with the look.

I have just been loving the way NYX Fuschia LipLiner looks with bright eyes. I don’t doubt it’s because I am more partial towards pink for lip color choices, but Fuschia is just the perfect combination of purple and pink in one.

Just to give a little shine to the lips (since I filled in the lips entirely) I added just a bit of Scene Queen, Glamour Gloss available from Glamour Doll Eyes (currently Glamour Gloss is unavailable, but sometime soon it will be back up for sale).

Overall, I’m very happy with this look. I think it the combination of the purple and green with the overall grey sheen to it is pretty. Besides the fact that I believe purple and green are nice colors that help pop brown eyes.

I’m considering trying to recreate this look again but using a matte black in the crease to see (whether or not a matte would be a better choice for the crease).

FOTD: Glamour Doll Eyes

Since I worked the later shift today, I figured I had enough time to play with my war paint! Considering I had yet to actually apply the lovely Limited Edition

Glamour Doll Eyes

Halloween Set 2 shadows to my face...I took the opportunity!

Now the look I came up with today is honestly pretty plain, though I wanted to use my favorite shadows from the Halloween Set 2, which are Undead and Satan's Sheets.

I again had to tame the unruly beast (aka my hair)...cause let me tell you what...me and my bangs aren't really getting along. Apparently they only really like to listen to my hairdresser and her flat iron...for me they just like to go crazy. So after a failed attempted to get straight bangs, I again pined them up and then kinda half ass attempted to victory roll the two sides. With the rest of it, I threw it into a messy braid...again the most important thing was it was in control....and out of the way.

Considering the top I wore wasn't necessarily low cut, merely a slit across the bust...so showing just a hint of cleavage (if you got it semi flaunt it). I decided to rock the longer dangling Konplott earrings...I like the combination of the cross, skull and heart.

So without further delay here's what the face of the day looked like

I tried out my Almay Smart Foundation again...I think I like it. It gives a lighter coverage than I normally wear...but isn't nearly as light as using just a tinted moisturizer. Plus I'm also trying out a new addition to the make up collection (I have read/watched enough reviews on the product to make me genuinely interested in trying it out) Maybelline Mousse Concealer. I have used it twice so far and I am liking it!

For the rest of the face I contoured with ELF Bronzer in Warm Tan. I used Wet N Wild's Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer, NYX Mosaic Highlighter to highlight.

It's funny, I never really saw myself as a drug store make up lover when I first started getting into using make up more frequently in my rountine (as I was a MAC only make up collecter). However I am a converted Mineral Shadow and drug store brand lover!!!

Considering I wanted it to be reminiscent of a Pin Up look I opted for white in the waterline...however I do think this could easily transform into a night look by smudging black eyeliner on the lower lash line (as well as in the waterline). Perhaps even lightly dragging a bit of Graveyard to set the eyeliner (giving it more of a greyish effect verses it be so black).

To finish off this look I used a fun pink, NYX LipLiner in Fuchsia and on top of that I added just a bit of Glamour Gloss in Fierce on top.

Fierce is a fun greyish/silver hued lipgloss with shimmer, that added on top of Fuchsia gave it a nice purpley pink look.

Just a side note, currently the Glamour Glosses aren't available on the Glamour Doll Eyes website. I do hope they will be coming back sometime soon, however I know the lovely Mel (Vee's partner in crime) is amazing and does work hard to get the glosses just right. If I'm not mistaken she had been working on some new colors as well. So maybe when they are available again...we will see some new additions!

Overall I really liked this look, I felt it was a nice easy and semi neutral look that can be worn day or night. I did like it so much, that I filmed this look as a tutorial...so it will bed edited and up very soon on my channel!!
