Day 9: Someone who has gotten me through it

No lies, I'm pretty excited that I have finally caught up on my Photo Challenge. This entry is actually on the right date..WOOT WOOT!!!

And I did want to point out that I kinda like to put random title pictures up giving you an idea of what this blog post is about..though I could not find anything good for Day 9. Apparently this guy is known as Day 9...I'm guessing he is a YouTuber...though I had never heard of him before!!! He is kinda scary looking...at least in this picture!!! HA HA

Now that I am finally caught up, I do hope that I can get back in track with my blog entries for this Challenge. I do feel like I have slightly failed already because I have gotten so far behind. But then again, I did take the time to fill in the gaps...so perhaps I'm not a complete lost cause!

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Joe and Me on his birthday, November 2009

Although Joe and I are celebrating our 4 years of being a married couple this upcoming fall, we have known each other now for 4 years. Our official "date" of meeting and going out together is coming up next week, which makes me want to plan something special!

Anyways, in the time frame of us being together, Joe has actually seen and experienced quite a bit with me. We were dating when I dealt with the issue of being let go from a job, for not meeting my sales quota. He has seen me through the upheaval of moving from one place as a single girl, to a new place as a couple. He has even seen me when I have dealt with the beginning and loss of friendships here in Germany, besides the obvious of us moving across the world.

Joe has dealt with all of my craziness, both the good type and the bad. Looking at it now, I know he is not only my husband but is one of my closest friends. He will always be there for me...and even if I fuck up (and trust me I have), he still loves me. He still wants to be with me, and considering that divorce rates are super high nowadays...I'm really thankful for it!

Day Eight: What makes you laugh

I think actually is going to be one my favorite blog entries for the Photo Challenge, as Day 8 and Day 10 are tied together. Considering it will be about a fun and quite drunken filled weekend with one of my best friends.

As you know, if you have been paying attention to my blog posts within the past month, I went back to the states to visit my family for about a month.

I know I actually haven't really blogged much about my trip...I have waiting to see if anyone is really interested in hearing about it. Plus it is taking me long enough to get really going into blogging about anything else other than make up! HA HA

However one of my favorite memories while I was back in the states, that will always I mean always make me laugh not only at the memory. But at the mere fact of what is going on!

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh

The Night of the Chalk Incident May 2011

Mind you this picture was taken after alot of alcohol had been drank by myself and my partner in crime at the time, Wingo.

This picture is at the camping ground found at the Silver Strand State Beach in San Diego, CA during Memorial Day weekend. My family tends to like to take their RV and go camping of some sort...their particular favorite is on the beach.

Anyways, Wingo and myself headed off to join my mom at the beach Friday evening, after spending a good chunk of the day cleaning the house (with my younger brother) as a request from my mom. Hence, we were ready to get our drink on once we arrived. This picture was taken about 3 hours after being at the beach...which meant there was at least 5 to 7 shots of tequila and 3-5 beers drank by us.

We were ubber bored and feeling pretty damn good, hence we went on a little walking adventure. Stealing a piece of chalk from one of my parents friends kids, we thought it would be a good idea to randomly tag the ground with various writings.

I thought it would be hilarious to die and have my body outlined...making it a CSI crime scene. Thus I laid down on the ground and Wingo started to draw around me. What made this even more hilarious is a random beach goer passed by and pointed out that she needed to mark the location of my cup as well...since it was a crime scene and all!

Day 7: My most treasured item

Finally getting on a roll when it comes to this blogging thing, though of course I am doing this all in one day...so of course it is gonna be easy to go (since I have started).

Though I do have to refill my coffee cup, as I'm pretty low and every good writer knows that you need to have something to wet your whistle. It keeps the creative juices flowing!! HA HA

**Total side note: I give HUGE and MAJOR props to all the beauty bloggers who are blogging all throughout the day. Whether it is on reviews, swatches, first impressions, or FOTD. Especially those bloggers who actual job is to maintain their blog site!!! WOW!! Freaking ROCKSTARS!!

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

Joe and Reckless, my family May 2009

I'm going to sound pretty sappy, but my little family is one of the most precious things to me. And btw I include my dog Reckless, as she was actually my family member before I met Joe..she actually has been with me since I got my first good official apartment when I moved out on my own!

They both love me in their own ways, which both do at times have funny ways of showing it. They make me smile, reckless when she wants to play...and Joe whenever he does something sweet. They both comfort me when I'm sad or down. And at times they both piss me off, Joe with his obssession with his video game...and Reckless with her liking to shred paper!

No matter what I love them and I am very thankful and happy to have them both in my life. They are my family and I will do my damnest to make sure that nothing happens to them!

Day 6: Who I want to be when I grow up

Now looking at the title of this blog entry actually can throw you off as it the actual day picture requirement is a bit different.

I personally don't really know if I like the expected picture for day 6 for the photo challenge, I do slightly want to change it. I think I will do a mixture of what I think the actual picture requirement and then what I think it should be! HA So there will be two sections within this blog posting. One of the normal photo of the day and then one that I kinda made up.

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

Photobucket
Billy B, Make up Artist to many stars

I think it would be amazing to be able to Billy B for a day, just because he is an amazing make up artist. Plus all the different clients that he would have (if it was a day that he had to do make up) would be a dream. I mean could you imagine walking into a room and Lady Gaga is sitting in the make up chair?

Billy B is someone who I definitely aspire to be, really what freelance make up artist doesn't want to follow his foot steps? His work is clean, creative and distant within the beauty community.

Now this is my little make shift Day 6 Photo of the Day
Someone you want to be like when you grow up

Photobucket
My Mom being silly, May 2011

As much as I would love to say I want to be like Billy B when I grow up, the real person that I want to be like is actually mom. Yeah, I'm talking about my mom again. But what can I say she is a great person who I only hope I can be like.

My mom will always put my dad, brother and me first before herself. Trust me, it still takes a good amount of prodding at her to finally get her to buy something nice for herself. She is considerate of other people, so much that normally she ends up getting put out by them (something that I am already seeing happen to me). And she loves unconditionally, even with some family drama that has been a bit ongoing since April..I know that my mom still loves the person who it involves. It is in her nature, when she is ready to forgive that person...she will.

I want to be like her when I grow up, because she has been a rock in our family. The friend that many have turned to and a woman that even at her current age is still learning and growing.

July's Giveaway On YouTube and Twitter

With the beginning of July, I decided it's time to really get back on track in regards to my YouTube channel. Considering I have been pretty random when it comes to posting videos. I know I had posted here on my blog of an upcoming giveaway, though my original item that was going up for grabs was something different.

I decided, after doing some spring cleaning within my shelves, that it was time to show appreciation towards all those beauty lovers...who take the time, effort and energy to do and maintain their nails.

It is the running joke (at least with half a dozen people) on YouTube that I'm one the most entertaining beauty YouTubers, for the fact that I do not stay on top of my nails. I do always have them chipped, half done, or not done whatsoever. And being an active beauty YouTuber with this flaw is normally NOT a good thing!

I have personally tried to get into doing nails, for a bit I was actually attempting to use the nail art pieces from LA Colors. But with the release of the crackle nail polish from different brands (whether stateside or european), figured that is the easiest way to make my nails a but different.

So, with me rambling on about nails it got me to decide to do a nail giveaway on both my YouTube and Twitter, since there are alot of others who are interested in those types of products. I do really try with my nails....but it really isn't my thing! LOL

Day Five: One of the best days

Going to have to do some back logging of my days, gotta love when a holiday weekend comes and messes up the new little routine I started for myself.

I have decided that the best way to get my blogging for the day done is to do it while I'm enjoying my cup of coffee in the morning. As it's the major down time I really give myself for sure.

So for the next few posts it will be all written on the same day...sorry for that!!!

Anyways let me get to the actual point of this blog entry for the day!

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

Photobucket
Clearlake, CA

Hard to believe that this picture was actually taken and I was there to an extent!!! This is from the weekend before Joe and myself flew out from the United States to make our home in Germany. Joe's mom, youngest sister (of the first 4), and mom's boyfriend lived out in Clearlake which was about 2 to 2.5 hours from where we were living at the time.

We had always been told about how nice the lake was during the summer (as we hadn't been to visit at that time frame yet). And considering we were getting ready to leave for what seemed like forever at the time, 4 years, we wanted to have that memory.

We went out onto the lake in his mom's boyfriend's boat and cruised all around, the water was beautiful and the weather was just perfect. Later on that day we went to another place that was lakefront property to BBQ and hang out. What was nice about that place is that they had canoes, and a paddle boat. Needless to say definately have some funny memories of being at that house!

It was one of the best days Joe and I had together, because it was our first real time being out on a lake together. And one of our last memories of being in California (at least together).

Day 4: What I do with myself

Considering I had some issues with blogging the other day as blogspot decided to take a crap when I was done writing (and little did I know that it hadn't saved). I decided to say F*ck this and take a day off from blogging, which means there are going to be several entries in particular for this day!!!

That and I have been pretty busy with preparing chips and salsa for my friend's birthday party that is later on today. Mind you it's Saturday and I'm blogging in between flipping of the tortillas in the oil (as everyone and their mother loves mine and Joe's homemade tortilla chips and salsa). I do plan on filming an In the Kitchen with Lo in regards to the salsa recipe, just so that I can refer my friends to my YouTube and they can make their own! HA HA

Anyways so this Fourth Day blog really was suppose to occur on Friday...so I guess I should get right into to..since I have one more day to catch up on.

Day 04 - A picture of your night

Photobucket
This is a depiction of a babysitter chasing after a little boy

Yup, I spent my Friday night babysitting a little boy named Wyatt (3.5 years old). I randomly babysit, I use to have a regular steady babysitting job. But as it goes in the military life when it's time to move you go where the military sends ya. And my regular little boy I sat for about a year (Max), moved to the east coast.

Thus, after some thought I decided to put myself back on the market. Now why would I want to babysit, especially with it being summer time. I will give ya some pretty simple reasons

1. It is good to change up the weekend night plans (I include Friday nights as weekends).
Reason being is it can get a bit old of constantly going out with friends, or just chilling at home. Honestly most Friday nights, Joe ends up passing out early because he is tired from his work week. If I so happen get an invitation to go out on Friday, it tends to be a girls night only thing.

2. Babysitting is under the table money.
I mean the only person I really have to tell that I made money is Joe and that just normally to let him know that we have cash now (so we don't have to use our debit card). I believe it's good to have cash on you..just because you never know what might happen. It's quick, easy and not every place takes card.
*Also I am willing to take US dollars or Euro. It all really depends on what the family has on hand (I normally know the exchange rate of that day. I'm not going to overcharge because I think that's just plain rude.)

3. Babysitting is for the most part easy
I don't mind having to cook, feed, bathe, change diapers, play with, read stories to, or reprimand a child I am sitting. Babysitting to an extent is practice for being a parent (as I don't have any of my own besides my dog). I learn what I should and shouldn't do. Besides the fact babysitting allows me to see what other families have their play rooms, kids bedrooms set up. What type of food and snacks they keep in their cupboards, and an idea of a schedule to keep a child on.
