The weather over here in Germany has been ubber funky...very un-summer like weather. Hence the color choices I have been rocking (when I don't want to do a natural/neutral look) as been something very bright.
I have worn it about 5 or 6 times already this month and a few of my friends have complimented me on it...I think it's because the blue makes my brown eyes pop. But then again, I believe that blues make brown eyes look nice ( as long as it's not the 80's style make up...we are good).
Face Products:
Sabrina Cosmetics Pressed Powder in 03
Milani HD Advanced Brightening Concealer in 02
Wet N Wild Ultimate Minerals Bronzer in 167 Amber Glow
I actually used very little product on the face as I wanted to keep the face as natural as possible (this was my daytime version of this look...does anyone want to see what the nighttime version looks like?).
I have heard that the Ultimate Minerals Bronzer from Wet N Wild is suppose to be a dupe for the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Stereo Rose (the wanted and lusted over item of the past year). I personally don't know if this statement is true, I'm following fellow YouTuber personal reassurance that it is. Whatever the case may be, I did like pairing up this bronzer (which I used more as a blush) with the bright shadows. It gave just a nice flush of color, which seemed to make it all the more natural looking skin.
Lips:
Stila Lippencil in Starfruit
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 180 Pink Pursuit
I had done brighter lips for this look the first time I tried it out, but I wanted it to be a bit more subtle with the major focus being on the eyes. And as sad as this sounds, it was my first time really trying out my Stila product (interesting texture...but I'm glad I didn't pay for it).
Products used for Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Revlon Cream Shadows in Electric Pop 713 Light blue color
Wet N Wild Color Icon Single in Lagoon
Manhattan Freak Friday Quad in Be my Baby hot pink duo chrome shadow
Wet N Wild Color Icon Single in Brulee
Sleek Make Up Palette in Storm 578 matte black shadow
Wet N Wild Color Icon Single in Sugar
P2 Automatic Eye Kajale in Black
NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Essence MultiAction Smokey Eyes Mascara in Black
The particular pink used has a duo-chrome effect of a pink-purple shade, so when it is blended out it takes on the purple color. When I blended this into the crease on top of the Lagoon it made a darker purple color in the deeper crease. Which is why I felt it needed to be smoked out just a bit...besides who doesn't like a colorful smokey eye?
Lashes would've been a perfect way to finish off the look, but again since it was a day time look (that I recently rocked when I went and did make up on someone for a mini photoshoot they had). I figured no lashes would be okay, at least during the day. You will never catch me at night wearing this (or it's counter part of a nighttime version without lashes)!!!
