Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently
Going straight into this blog post today...so something that had greatly affected my life currently is the military, in particular the US Air Force. There are several things going on right now, however the biggest one I want to talk about is the fact that US Air Force treats my husband like a redheaded step child (as of recent).
Our military base is prepping for a rather large inspection (that is occurring in middle of August) thus they are ruining the mister schedule. The past three weeks (weekends), the mister has come home late (at least an hour to an hour and half later than normal time). He has had to work weekends (this particular weekend he worked both Saturday and Sunday...boo to that).
It's one of the downfalls of being in the military life, is that my husband is Government Property. He does what they say, when they say, for how long they say to, and at times can't get a break! He doesn't get paid over time, he doesn't necessarily always get approved for leave time (to take a small vacation), he doesn't always love his job.
But it's a lifestyle choice, whether active duty, reserve, military spouse (dependent). Everyone at one time or another in their military career can get screwed over. It's not fun, it's not fair. But you accept it and deal with it, looking to the time frame of when you are home to spend it with your family and friends.

:( One of my pet peeves with being a military wife. I dont think I could ever do it again. Thats why I give you LOTs of credit.
